Basic, quick, and easy fly that will catch fish. Can be tied in any color but natural brown or hare's ear dubbing with a gold bead seems to work best for me. #basics #beginner

Materials

  • Brass Bead Heads
    Bead
  • S80AP-TX
    Hook
  • Awesome 'Possum
    Dubbing
  • Flymaster
    Thread

Instructions

  1. Slide the bead onto the hook and clamp into vise.
  2. Wrap thread back to the beginning of the hook bend.
  3. Add dubbing to thread and wrap forward to bead. Create a tapered cone shape as you go. Wrap the dubbing in tight against the bead.
  4. Whip finish. That's it!
