Instructions

1. Tie in a few strands of Krystal Flash for the tail, about a hook-point long.
2. Form the body by adding dubbing to your thread and wrapping it around the hook shank. Leave plenty of room behind the eye, wrap back to roughly the barb.
3. Cut a foam strip roughly as wide as the hook gap, tie it down roughly aligned with the tail.
4. Tie in your rear legs right at that point, a couple wraps, one set each side.
5. Tie in the yarn, fold it back over itself, and tie it down again. Trim roughly even with the end of the tail
6. Optional: a drop of glue or epoxy at the leg wraps so they don't rotate on you.
7. Take two or three dubbing wraps to hide the thread.
8. Add some more dubbing to your thread and wrap to the end of the body.
9. Pull the foam forward over the dubbed body and tie it down. Repeat steps 4 through 7 here (legs, yarn, optional glue, a few dubbing wraps).
10. One more wrap of dubbing in front of the foam to close the gap to the eye.
11. Whip finish and optionally add head cement.
12. Trim the foam head just past the hook eye.
13. Optional: cut the corners off the head and taper it back to a point for a more hopper-ish profile.
